City of Radcliff Government
🔊SOUND ON: Did you know Radcliff has an official song? In 1983, "We're Proud to Call it Home" by Randy Davidson was established by ordinance to be the official song for the city. The song was played prior to every city council meeting thanks to Councilman Chuck Angus. If you've never heard it, turn the volume on and enjoy. We've attached the lyrics for you to follow along. "We're Proud to Call it Home"By Randy DavidsonMy heart is in Kentucky. My roots are planted deep In the promise of a better life That Radcliff, Kentucky keeps. Rolling hills and fertile fields A people proud and free And so proud to be living in an all-Kentucky community. There's a spirit of achievement, a real brotherhood of man. People coming together And working hand-in-hand. Protecting our nation's freedom The home of armor standing strong. There's real growth in our community. We're proud to call it home. Radcliff and North Hardin County, a place which in heritage with a future full of opportunities. Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the state, Radcliff and its people have deservedly earned the owner of all-Kentucky community. Good schools, churches, and small businesses thrive through the efforts of the proud people who live and work here. Businesses have discovered Radcliff as an untapped resource center for growth and prosperity, a place to settle, to raise your children, to reap the benefits of a place that keeps alive the spirit of family as well as community. Fort Knox stands as a symbol of distinction, and both the military and civilians, sense the unseverable bond of pride that ties them together. If any part of the state can surely be representative of Kentucky, that place is right here in Radcliff and North Hardin County. We believe in all the promise that North Hardin County keeps a great future for our children,Because our roots are planted deep. From right here in RadcliffFrom Fort Knox to Vine Grove, People who are united In this place we call home. We're on the road to progress. Moving ahead for all to see, That Radcliff, KentuckyIs full of opportunity. We're moving into the future,And holding on to yesterday. We're growing and we're changing, making friends along the way. We're building those strong tomorrow, So that we can stand alone. Radcliff and North Hardin County. We're proud to call it home.#RadcliffKY #Radcliff70 #TeamRadcliff #OfficialSong #WeAreProudToCallItHome ... See MoreSee Less
