OUR MISSION:
To protect life and property within the city limits of Radcliff to the extent of the level of training which the members have been provided.
With an ever-increasing run volume, the Radcliff City Fire Department department strives to increase its expertise with all training to further protect life and property.
Currently, Radcliff Fire Headquarters and one sub-station house nine pieces of fire apparatus and two mobile units for hazardous materials and specialized rescues.
This department will respond to structure, vehicle, and brush fires, and any incident where threat or danger from fire exist. The firefighters train extensively in vehicle and heavy rescue. From hazardous materials releases to trench rescue, these firefighters are prepared by staying up to date with the latest techniques. The Fire Department staff also trains in confined space entry as well as First Aid and CPR.
Protection of our citizens begins with Fire Prevention programs in the school setting using Sparky’s Hazard House, which can be adapted for groups of all ages. We also provide a free program called Citizens’ Fire Academy, with sessions designed to help citizens understand more about fire safety and the services our Fire Department offers.
